Transferring a domain moves its registration to a new registrar — it doesn't affect your website itself, as long as you follow the right order of steps.
1. Unlock Your Domain
Log in to your current registrar and disable transfer lock, a security setting that otherwise blocks transfers.
2. Get Your Authorization Code
Request the EPP/authorization code (sometimes called a transfer code) from your current registrar — you'll need it to initiate the transfer.
3. Confirm It's Eligible
Domains generally can't be transferred within 60 days of registration or a previous transfer, and shouldn't be set to expire within a few days.
4. Start the Transfer at CyberNet
Submit a transfer request through your CyberNet account using the domain name and authorization code.
5. Approve the Transfer
You'll receive a confirmation email — approving it (or simply not objecting within the confirmation window) allows the transfer to proceed.
6. Wait for Completion
Transfers typically complete within 5-7 days. Your website and email continue running normally throughout, since transferring registration doesn't touch your hosting or DNS unless you choose to update it.
