Two-factor authentication (2FA) is one of the single most effective security measures available, and it takes about two minutes to set up.
How It Works
2FA requires a second piece of proof beyond your password — typically a time-based code from an app on your phone — before granting access to your account.
Why It Stops Most Attacks
Even if an attacker steals or guesses your password, they still can't log in without also having physical access to your phone and its authenticator app. This blocks the vast majority of automated account takeover attempts.
Authenticator Apps vs SMS Codes
Authenticator apps (like Google Authenticator or Authy) generate codes locally on your device and are more secure than SMS codes, which can be intercepted through SIM-swapping attacks in rare cases.
Enabling 2FA on Your CyberNet Account
Go to your Client Area, open Account Settings, and look for the Two-Factor Authentication section. Scan the QR code with your authenticator app, enter the confirmation code, and save your backup codes somewhere safe.
Don't Stop at One Account
Enable 2FA everywhere it's offered — email, banking, social media, and any admin panel connected to your business.
