How to Access and Use Your Plesk Control Panel

Published on Jul 29, 2026 Updated on Jul 31, 2026 2 views

Plesk is the control panel that comes with every CyberNet shared and VPS hosting plan. It's where you manage your websites, email accounts, databases, files, and security settings — all from a single, easy-to-use dashboard.

1. Logging Into Plesk

There are two ways to access your Plesk panel:

  • From your CyberNet client area: Log into your account, go to My Services, select your hosting service, and click Open Control Panel. You'll be logged in automatically — no separate password needed.
  • Directly: Visit https://your-server-ip:8443 (or the URL provided in your welcome email) and enter the login and password you received when your hosting was activated.

2. Understanding the Dashboard

Once logged in, the left-hand menu gives you access to every part of your hosting account:

  • Websites & Domains — manage your domain, subdomains, and website files.
  • Mail — create and manage email accounts and forwarders.
  • Databases — create MySQL databases and open phpMyAdmin.
  • Files — a built-in file manager to upload, edit, and organize your website files without needing FTP.
  • Statistics — track visitor traffic and resource usage.
  • Security — manage SSL certificates, IP restrictions, and firewall rules.

3. Managing Your Website Files

Go to Files to open the built-in File Manager. From here you can upload files directly from your computer, edit text and code files in the browser, and set file permissions — all without installing an FTP client.

4. Changing Your Plesk Password

For security, we recommend changing your password after your first login: click your username in the top-right corner, select My Profile, then Change Password. Use a strong, unique password with at least 12 characters.
