How to Set Up Your First Website After Signup

Published on Apr 25, 2026 Updated on Jul 31, 2026 1 views

The first week with a new hosting account can feel like a lot of small steps. Here's the order that gets you live with the fewest surprises.

1. Connect Your Domain

Point your domain's nameservers to CyberNet, or add it as an addon domain in Plesk if you registered it with us directly.

2. Enable a Free SSL Certificate

In Plesk, go to Security and enable Let's Encrypt for your domain. This activates HTTPS at no extra cost and usually takes just a couple of minutes.

3. Upload or Install Your Website

Use the file manager or FTP to upload your files, or install a platform like WordPress directly from Plesk's one-click installer if you're starting fresh.

4. Set Up Your Email

Create a professional email address (like you@yourdomain.com) under Mail in Plesk before you start promoting your new site.

5. Test Everything

Load your site from a phone and a different network, check that forms submit correctly, and confirm your email sends and receives before calling it done.
