Terms of Service

This governs the rules for using your website or service — acceptable behavior, payment terms, liability limits, and what happens if those rules are broken.

Privacy Policy

This specifically explains what personal information you collect, how you use it, who you share it with, and what rights visitors have over their own data.

Why You Need Both

They answer different legal questions — one covers your relationship with users' behavior, the other covers your relationship with their data — and most jurisdictions' privacy laws specifically require the second one.
