What Happens If a Payment Fails?

Published on Jul 12, 2026 Updated on Jul 31, 2026 3 views

A failed payment isn't an immediate emergency — there's a process in place specifically to give you time to fix it.

Why Payments Fail

Expired cards, insufficient funds, banks flagging a charge as suspicious, or outdated billing details are the most common causes — rarely anything on CyberNet's end.

Automatic Retry Attempts

Rather than suspending a service after a single failed attempt, billing systems typically retry the charge automatically over the following days, giving your bank or payment method time to clear.

Notifications Along the Way

You'll receive email notifications after a failed attempt, giving you the opportunity to update your payment method before the next automatic retry.

What Happens If It's Never Resolved

If payment continues to fail past the retry window, the associated service is eventually suspended, and after an extended period, may be terminated with data removed.

How to Fix It Immediately

Update your payment method in the Client Area and, if needed, manually retry or pay the outstanding invoice directly rather than waiting for the next automatic attempt.
